Happiness is Somewhere in The Middle

There’s a saying that happiness is somewhere between having too much and having too little.
But the concept of “happiness” can be pretty ambiguous because happiness to one person could be misery to another.
However, we can arrive at some reasonably consistent understandings when looking at modern human life within a monetary economy such as ours.
If you don’t have an income or any savings then life in a monetary economy is incredibly difficult because we all need a source of spending in order to obtain the bare minimum necessities in life.

And money problems have a ripple effect on your life.
They can result in an overall sense of unhappiness, and they can create marital stress, making both spouses unhappy in the marriage.

Today is Yesterday’s Tomorrow

The problem with waiting until tomorrow is that when it finally arrives, it is called today.
Today is yesterday’s tomorrow.
The question is what did we do with its opportunity?
All too often we will waste tomorrow as we wasted yesterday, and as we are wasting today.
All that could have been accomplished can easily elude us, despite our intentions, until we inevitably discover that the things that might have been have slipped from our embrace a single, unused day at a time.
Each of us must pause frequently to remind ourselves that the clock is ticking.
The same clock that began to tick from the moment we drew our first breath will also someday cease.
Time is the great equalizer of all mankind. It has taken away the best and the worst of us without regard for either.
Time offers opportunity but demands a sense of urgency.
When the game of life is finally over, there is no second chance to correct our errors.

Why You Must Surround Yourself With Other Successful People

If you want to succeed in life, you absolutely must surround yourself with other successful people.
  • Successful people are successful because they have expert knowledge and skills in very specific niches.
Unsuccessful people lack expertise in any one niche.
  • Successful people surround themselves with other success-minded people who are also experts in their field.
They have developed strong relationships with those successful people, whom they can tap at a moments notice.
Unsuccessful people have relationships with unsuccessful or average people who also lack expertise.
  • Successful people know how to get things done in a cost-effective and expeditious way.
Because they lack expertise or the ability to tap into other experts, unsuccessful people tend to complicate things, which end up costing you time and money.

Don’t Be a Complainer

Complaining – There’s room for legitimate complaining, but if you let this deadly disease of attitude – complaining – loose it will conquer you.
Complaining can take over your life.
Destroy you and leave you without anything.
Nobody wants to take along a complainer.
Nobody wants to promote a complainer.
Nobody wants to live with one.
Nobody wants to be a partner of one.
Nobody wants to have one around.
Complaining leaves you out of more opportunities than you can possibly imagine if you let it take over and grab you by the throat.
